A new app created with the simple goal of making people smile, Happy Appy provides users with a daily dose of joy. The app sends you a short and sweet video everyday—often featuring funny animals, inoffensive pranks, or adorable laughing babies—none of which exceed four minutes in length. Via text or email, you can share videos to anyone on your contact list, whether it be grandma, Mom, or the kids. You can also save your favorite videos to view again later. Moreover, to ensure that you wake up with a smile, Happy Appy offers an alarm feature that greets you in the morning.

Designed by the creator of Baby Einstein and two-time cancer survivor Julie Clark, this uplifting app draws its inspiration from her battle for survival and belief in the positive effects of laughter as therapy. “Cancer was not a gift, but it has been a teacher,” Clark said. “I’m grateful for life, and the best way to show my appreciation is to give joy to others.
