After experiencing winter storm Nemo, I can attest to the joy comfort food can bring during a prolonged storm that keeps you hunkered down inside. Before we battened down the hatches, we stocked our kitchen with essentials and treats including Hungry Jack’s assorted Pantry Pack.
With a variety of fun pancake mix options and dinner sides, the Hungry Jack Pantry pack was a great addition to our pantry and provided a yummy way to ride out the storm. During the lengthy amount of time spent indoors and with snow still amassing our home 24 hours later, I opted to make the Hungry Jack Mashed potatoes and added in a bit of seasoning to taste. This was the perfect dinner side that eased our blizzard blues. The prep was minimal and best of all, the mashed potatoes were delicious, comforting, and warm.
Hungry Jack Waffles
When the snow finally began to slow the following morning, we eagerly bolted from bed, mixed up some Hungry Jack Buttermilk Waffles and prepared to shovel the walkway. After all, we needed full stomachs to even attempt to shovel the amounting feet of snow. These waffles were golden and crisp, a perfect treat before venturing out to shovel the hefty snow or a great way to warm up after a day of sledding.
For delicious and easy options during hurried mornings or lazy snow days, Hungry Jack’s assortment of pancake mixes and dinner sides help to create memorable family meals.
