As we settle into the cold blustery months of winter, nothing warms our day quite like a cup of coffee. From enjoying French Press coffee on a weekend morning to grabbing a cup on the way to work to lingering over after-dinner espresso, I love exploring new flavors, varieties, and brewing methods in order to get the most out of a cup o’ joe.

So when I heard about Remington’s new coffee maker – iCoffee – and how it draws the most flavor out of coffee, I knew I wanted to try it. After taking a look at the system, I learned that iCoffee uses a special technology called “steambrew” to create smooth-tasting coffee.

Much like an espresso-maker that cultivates the layer of crema that’s key for rich, flavorful coffee drinks, iCoffee’s technology not only creates crema, but shows it to you in the machine’s brewing window while it brews.

The end result becomes a pot of crema-infused coffee that makes you want to curl up on the couch with a warm blanket and a good book. The system also draws upon the best features of French Press and drip coffee makers because features the flavor of a good French Press coffee but stays piping hot even when making 12 cups.

After brewing a pot, I did notice grounds in the bottom of my cup, and while not as much as you might see with a French press, they turn out to be fairly substantial. I love it, but many who want just a light cup of coffee are not going to be happy!

Take a look at iCoffee by Remington – currently available online and at select retail stores – and explore a whole new world of coffee flavor.
