Every year I stock up on candy weeks before Halloween, and even though I hide them in the pantry, I manage to eat half the bag by the time the trick-or-treaters actually come around.
There is something so enticing about the individually wrapped candies that perfectly satisfy a craving for something sweet, but the size can be deceiving. Although the packages are small, the amount of calories and grams of fat can really add up fast.
Lärabar, the maker of fruit and nut bars, has introduced their 100-calorie mini bars, a perfect size for a midday snack.
With flavors like cherry pie, cashew cookie and apple pie, I can now leave the candy for Halloween. Since these individually wrapped bars are gluten, dairy and soy free, as well as vegan and kosher certified, they are great for almost any diet.
Can’t find them at your local grocery store? You can find them online at Amazon.
