Disclosure: We were invited to the MasterCard Connected Family Event. All opinions are our own.

Let’s face it: Juggling the demands in our daily lives can challenge us! We have schedules to keep up with (our own, and our family members’!) and many women play an instrumental role in making sure everything is organized and seamless.

I was delighted to discover some of the ways MasterCard empowers us to make our daily challenges a bit easier through truly innovative products and partnerships.

To celebrate these innovations, MasterCard hosted an event at its headquarters in New York City, where invitees were able to tour a showcase of product collaborations, and take part in a Priceless Experience – having lunch prepared and served by renowned American Chef Marcus Samuelson!

Some of the innovations we were introduced to include:

  • Samsung FamilyHub refrigerator and Groceries by MasterCard – this new super refrigerator is enabled with three cameras, allowing the user to see what’s already home, how long until expires, and even create shopping lists straight from the refrigerator door, and then purchase the items their family needs from FreshDirect and ShopRite.
  • MasterPass – a safe and secure digital wallet
  • Commerce for Every Device – No more fishing through your purse for your credit card – you can pay for your latte with a Ringly, linked to your MasterCard!
  • Virtual Reality Commerce – you can purchase items by focusing on them – your eyes are tracked and you can make purchases of items – even selecting your own size – based on where your eyes are focused. This blew me away!
  • Qkr! Pay at Table – a great way to save time on having to wait for the server or split the check at Qkr! Pay at Table enabled restaurants

One key takeaway from this event was that families value time together, and experiences. These innovations from MasterCard not only save us precious time, but give us access to some of the most curated, special experiences through the Priceless Cities programs. The next time I’m shopping for a birthday or anniversary present, I am going to check Priceless.com for inspiration!
