Changing the Way We Approach Laundry – One Family at a Time

As any Mom can attest, laundry remains a never-ending cycle of washing, drying and folding. Plus, it’s filled with potential land mines of delicate fabrics, too much soap, wrong temperatures, and brights mixed with whites. And just when you’ve managed to get this week’s laundry under control, the kids’ hamper overflows with everything from grimy jeans to smelly socks.

In my family, we’ve raised the laundry stakes to new heights with two teen athletes who change clothes four times a day, require fresh towels each time they shower, and never met a pair of jeans they’d wear more than once. And we have the battle-scarred appliances to show for it all – a two-year-old leaking washing machine, along with a dryer held together with duct tape.

Nearly three weeks in, I can honestly say these appliances have revolutionized how I approach laundry. They wash and dry my family’s clothes so efficiently, effectively and reliably that I no longer even think about laundry. I find both machines so user-friendly and easy-to-adapt to specific clothing needs that doing multiple loads of laundry proves seamless and problem-free.

To ensure I started off on the right foot with these two appliances, I followed the manufacturer’s guidelines and used detergent specially made for high-efficiency machines and made sure not to place clothes on top of the agitator. Our clothes look great, the dryer works unbelievably fast, and the washer features a lilting tone that lets me know it’s washing away. With the amount of laundry our family does day-in and day-out and the challenges we’ve had with other appliances, the Maytag Bravos XL High Efficiency Top Load Washer and Steam Dryer continue to be music to my ears.
