Renowned Fashion Designer, Peter Som, Launches Spring/Summer 2014 Collection for Kohl’s DesignNation

It’s time to revamp the wardrobe now that spring and summer are upon us. Days are longer which means that outfits need to also go the distance. Sometimes the challenge becomes finding those pieces that are so fabulous and versatile. With Kohl’s new DesignNation spring/summer 2014 launch from designer Peter Som – there is a plethora of stylish, on trend fashion finds!

At a recent event at Kohl’s, in Jersey City, to preview the Peter Som collection with fashion forward bloggers, not only were the bloggers impressed with the collection but also the man behind the fashion, Peter Som himself. He mingled with the bloggers to help them style outfits from not only his collection but also from other lines of clothing at the store.

There are so many pieces in the collection that woman can mix and match and wear from day to night. The collection inspired by St. Barth’s, Som who’s a self proclaimed beach bum, made pieces for women to feel good wearing anywhere they went with affordable style. Peter expressed, “Today outfits need to work not only from 9 to 5, but they also need to transform from 5 pm to 9 am!”

“Wear clothes that make you feel happy,” is one of my favorite quotes from Peter Som because it’s so true. Clothes can set a mood and strike a feeling – whether you are going to work, picking up the kids from school, on a date or celebrating a special occasion with the family. Whatever piece of clothing you wear evokes a feeling or reflects your mood. So why not wear items that show off your personality and style?

Whether you are a fashionista, a Plain Jane, have a classic style, or are more whimsical in the way you rock an outfit, what was clear at the sneak peak event was that there was something for everyone in Peter Som’s collection both  in store and online at Kohl’s. Just a few of the standout pieces that wowed the attendees were the white Motto jacket, the maxi dresses, and Carmeuse soft pants.
