Schwan’s holiday must haves…Spinach and Mushroom Flatbread and Puff Pastry Pack

As we jump from one food-filled holiday to the next, the preparation of hors d’oeuvres and appetizers can be a tiring process making you feel like you LIVE in the kitchen. But, by stocking your freezer with some frozen treats from Schwan’s, delicious food can be created without spending hours in the kitchen. Growing up in Youngstown, Ohio, Schwan’s frozen bread was always a treat we had as a side to homemade meals. Schwan’s has expanded their line of great breads by incorporating new recipes and products.

Schwan’s makes easy to prepare treats for those moments when you really need to impress. Without skimping on flavor or presentation, Schwan’s frozen appetizers not only taste delicious, they look great, too.

The Puff Pastry Hors d’Oeuvre Collection, which comes in three varieties that include: Roasted Red Pepper and Three Cheese, Ham and Applewood Smoked Bacon with Cheese, and Four Cheese with Crab, cooks up in just 22 minutes. Every flavor was delicious but my favorite was the Four Cheese with Crab. The crab proved sweet and delicious. All I had to do was preheat the oven, place the puff pastries on a cooking sheet, and in just 22 minutes the puffs were crisp and ready to be devoured!

We also tried the Spinach & Mushroom Flatbread Thin Crust Pizza, which incredibly only took 10 minutes to prepare. I left the flatbread in the oven for a few extra minutes to achieve a crispier crust. I found the crust tasty, the ingredients plentiful with ample amounts of mushrooms and cheese, and it was a hit with my dinner guests who thought the flatbread was homemade! I did not dissuade them of this notion, of course.
