Working out, toning, and weight training require considerable time and effort. Imagine we had the ability to peek inside our bodies to determine which exercises proved effective, and which should be scrapped for better options! Skulpt Aim brings this fantasy brilliantly close to reality.
More than just a fitness tracker, Skulpt Aim measures muscle quality (composition & size of muscle fibers) and body fat percentage in specific areas of your choosing. Using Electrical Impedance Myography, a non-invasive technique that delivers small currents past the subcutaneous fat and through the muscle when wet, this waterproof device’s 12 sensors rate and track your muscle quality, allowing for targeted future workouts.
Skulpt Aim offers a full-body display, highlighting your body’s muscle quality holistically, and allows for up to 6 saved user profiles (which we think would be ideal for a personal trainer, or if you work out with friends). The Skuplt app connects to Apple Health, and is available on both iPhone and Android devices.
We discovered this handy, little device at the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show, and although haven’t tested it long enough to determine whether it delivers consistent results, what it did show us proved realistic enough (read: we knew our calves could use a little work!) to convince us that this device will be a fave among athletes and fitness enthusiasts alike.
Who wouldn’t want to see all their hard work paying off?
You can purchase Skulpt Aim on the brand’s website for $149.
