A Delicious Birthday in A Box from Cheryl’s

These days, it feels like every weekend on the calendar boasts a birthday celebration or two! Whether it’s our own family’s celebrations or joining together to celebrate our friends and loved ones, birthday parties and celebrations always prove a lot of fun – and a lot of work! With September 16 credited as the most common birthday of the year, perhaps that fact lent to what felt like a surplus of parties I attended this month!

Our friend Max recently celebrated his 1st birthday. We wanted to bring something special to help celebrate this momentous occasion that would be both appreciated as a unique idea, and that guests of all ages could enjoy. We decided that treats from Cheryl’s, the brilliant creator of cookies and fine baked goods, would satisfy what we were looking for.

Max’s parents live about a half-hour’s drive from us, so ordering goodies from Cheryl’s that were easily portable was a smart idea. Given that we endured a busy week and his party was early in the day on a Saturday, it was so simple to have Cheryl’s delivered straight to our door on Friday eliminating the need to rush around after work to find something delicious to bring.

The biggest hit at the party proved Cheryl’s Birthday Cut-Out Cookie Decorating Kit. The kit contains 24 unfrosted, baked, cut-out cookies, 2 1 lb. tubs of vanilla frosting, and of course – a jar of sprinkles! The four different kinds of sprinkles partygoers could select – from sunbursts to dinosaurs – kept us all amused. Both kids and adults loved diving into this set to create their own customized cookie treats, but of course the best part was enjoying these yummy treats!

The kit would prove perfect to bring to any party or celebration in its adorable house-shaped carrying case and easy-to-tote handle. For just $39.99, we thought that the Birthday Cut-out Cookie Kit was a great value in that it not only provided us with a delicious dessert everyone at the party could enjoy, but also served as a fun activity that we could all partake in!

Given that Max is a September baby, we also decided to try some of the Fall assorted cookies, another hit among adults and children alike. The assortment includes festive pumpkin and leaf shaped cut-outs along with a tasty buttercream frosting! I loved the buttercream cinnamon pumpkin.

One of the benefits of ordering Cheryl’s cookies is that they freeze well, so there is no risk of your goodies going to waste if not all consumed during your celebration.

We have friends who eat only gluten-free, and it was a relief to see that Cheryl’s even carries gluten-free cookies and brownies to accommodate.
