When traveling to Plymouth MA for the day, I had the most surprisingly amazing stop at an AllTown Fresh market. It proved a transformative experience: bringing artisan food and locally sourced products to the convenience of a gas station shop.
AllTown, in the midst of an exciting innovation, has started rolling out more of the AllTown Fresh concept across their gas station properties. They’ve hired Chef Joshua Smith (Hello, can I get your secret for creamy eggs in the breakfast sandwich?!) to conjure up original chef recipes, cooked fresh to order at the AllTown Fresh kitchens. They rely as much as possible on locally sourced ingredients and products. They’ve also brought in high end Swiss coffee bean-to-cup machines to serve up a fresh ground, gourmet coffee drink of your choice – ranging from macchiatos to lattes to nitro cold brew.
First, I tried their breakfast egg and smoked ham sandwich – which came on a warm, soft brioche bun, with a generous pile of super creamy eggs enhanced by the smoky overlay of the ham. Delicious! I also ordered a banh mi sandwich to take home with me for lunch – which proved authentic with picked carrots, cucumbers, spicy aioli on a French baghette roll. Hard to choose with tons of handcrafted options from sandwiches to salads. Next time in, I’m definitely going in for their new Pork Roll Breakfast Sandwich: made with caramelized pork roll, organic egg, American cheese and spicy ketchup on a toasted English muffin.
Moreover, AllTown Fresh has curated gourmet snacks and drinks in the spaciously laid out and appealing designed shelves and fridge sections. From artisanal fresh baked breads, organic produce, fair trade coffee to packed refrigerated cases, you cannot help but browse all the curated goodies.
AllTown fresh has five locations in MA, CT and NY, with more openings planned. Check out their site at https://alltownfresh.com/ to watch for openings near you.
